Our History

Nexus Primary was established in 1993 and was in initially accommodated at Sasamala Secondary and later moved to its own building of seven classrooms and small office. Due to political changes in 1994, there was great movement from farms to townships therefore the building of seven classrooms could not accommodate 1036 learners, that is when the School Governing Body joined hands with the SANCO to find solution/s to the challenge of overcrowding and shortage of school in the Tshiame B township. The quickest solution was the school to use shifting system (one group in the morning and the other in the afternoon) but this was also not enough, it also occupied old farmer’s storerooms to accommodate learners until the F.S Government and IDT  funded the new school / building and was facilitated by the FSSBT.

Working at Nexus was so wonderful, under the leadership of mam Mohaladi F.M, Sekopa M.E and supervision of mam Tshabalala TR and Skosana TE.I will always miss you colleagues, especially the mighty great Grade 3's.Yes,there were some misunderstanding here and there but that shows how committed we were to our work. "To: Nexus staff, SGB & Parents. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere gratitude to all at Nexus Primary School. Most importantly I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Me Mohaladi for her leadership and support she presented to me over the past two decades. In life we should allow for personal growth to nurture and endeavor to realize its success. That is why I have taken a new challenge in my career. I have enjoyed my tenure as part of the staff and later SMT. Moreover, I am thankful for the opportunities that were given to me during my stay at Nexus. I will continue to work with diligence and utmost care not to tarnish the image of my beloved Nexus and Department of Education. May our Almighty refill yourselves with strength and positive working spirit during my absence. Hope you will keep your doors open when ever I seek your support from you colleagues. Thank You. Regards Mahlatsi TM."
